It's been a really hot and long day, but the children have done well and enjoyed themselves.
They have visited the fair, been down a mine, eaten McDonald's and ice cream and been thoroughly entertained this evening by 'Mad Alice'! It all begins again with breakfast at 7.30am...
In the Spring term Montacute class will be studying all things Viking! We will be using our geography skills to identify the countries where Vikings came from and identifying trade routes that were used. We will link this with work on settlement and host a Dragons Den style competition, where we will 'pitch' to get investment in Viking objects.
Our speaking and listening skills will be developed further as we prepare for the annual 'Look Who's Talking' Competition. Our performance poetry techniques will be in evidence and we will looking to be as creative as we can with our imagination, as we take ourselves to our 'other world' for the presentations!
We will continue to practise our trumpets and trombones and we are very much looking forward to our visit to St John's Primary School where we will witness a short concert from from the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
A meteorite has landed in our scientific classroom and we will become a remote team of forces experts. As experts, we will be on call to undertake investigations and offer advice to scientists around the world!
